It is an honor for me to
have this opportunity to announce my candidacy to become
the 90th President of The United States Junior Chamber.
I enjoy being a Jaycee as you can tell from the passion
displayed in the pictures and content of this site. I attribute
much of my success in both my personal life and career from
the experiences, training and networks obtained through
involvement as a Jaycee.
Since I joined, I have been
told of the need for strong leaders to help guide us toward
the dominant organization we used to be. I believe I am
that person and am willing to do whatever it takes to ensure
our membership receives the values expected.
Some have said that our
organization may not be able to withstand the decline in
recent year but I staunchly disagree. The economy is having
some of the most difficult times since the great depression
but confidence allows us to believe the right leaders will
get it back on track in the next year or so. Well, I feel
the same about The United States Junior Chamber. The right
leaders are the focus of our organization and it is up to
us to make it happen.
With your vote as President,
I will guide our leaders to achieve every intention promised.
We will be stronger financially and in value because we
will have listened to the great experiences of our predecessors,
we will have learned from the impact of those experiences
and together we will lead the changes needed to overcome
any obstacles.
Our organization had less
than 30,000 members in the 1930's and was able to grow by
tens and twenty thousands immediately following. It's our
turn to demonstrate our ability to put into action the tools
and concepts that have built our foundation for almost 90
years. I ask for your support in September, at the Annual
Meeting, and look forward to continuing to serve the greatest
organization in the world.
In Jaycees,
